Hi Pastor Bob,
My name is David and I was visiting your church last Sunday morning with Julie Ommen. I live in Madison, SD, so unfortunately I probably won't have an opportunity to discuss this with you in person, but I asked Julie a question after the service about the church and she told me to write you about it... with a wink she quoted part of the sermon that a man should seek guidance on religious issues from other men.
Anyway, here's my question. You stated that you believe that the Bible is fully inspired by God, and thus infallible and inerrant. My question is, simply, why do you believe that? I'm not questioning the Bible for its inspirational content or historical accuracy... I love no book more than the Bible. But I am curious why we should think of the opinions in, say, Paul's letters to be anything more than Paul's opinion...
Kind regards,
David
