Hey, thanks for your reply. I only skimmed it; I will read it more carefully when I get home tonight. But first I have a request.

I want you to head to a library somewhere and see if you can find a copy of Gleason Archer's book "A Survey of Old Testament Introduction." I might have recommended this before. I am doing so again because I just read some more of it this morning, and I think it would be uniquely interesting to you for this reason: he specifically grounds his argument for the inspiration of the entire Bible in the fact of fulfilled prophecy. So he seems to take the exact road we're talking about: if (some) prophecy is inspired, then how big does the umbrella open? He says it opens all the way. I'd like you to read his thoughts and see what you think. You'll find them primarily in chapter 2 (I think) and also in an excursus at the end of the book, after the Appendices.

His argument was fascinating to me in light of our own dialogue. I'm wondering how it will hit you. So - any chance you have access to this book?

Thanks. More later...

Bob
