David,
What can I say... That's good news!! I'm glad you've come to a place of faithful trust in Christ and cognitive peace. The dialogue was enjoyable and stretching for me, so I'm thankful for the interaction and for your long-distance friendship. And as you mentioned, sometimes the answer is more existential (stop asking the questions) than empirical (find answers to all of them).
A funny sidenote: I was in Orlando last month to take a seminary Apologetics class from John Frame, who is one of the most brilliant Christian thinkers alive today. You can imagine my surprise when I looked at the syllabus and found this assignment:
"...engage in an e-mail dialogue with a non-Christian (or with a Christian who is struggling with some of the difficulties of the faith). Send to me all the exchanges, totaling around 3000 words. If the actual dialogue is shorter, you may supplement it with your own analysis of the dialogue..."
So I guess I should thank you for helping me to pass a class! You can imagine the jealousy of my classmates when I told them my paper was done on the first day of class. Needless to say, all our past emails provided more than 3000 words to work from. :)
I trust your life will be blessed as you continue to pursue Christ... and that the Kingdom will benefit from your sharp mind and talent.
For His Glory,
Bob
