The Queen (2006)
From Summa Bergania
I guess I was expecting a movie about all of Elizabeth's life, not just 104 minutes about how she caved in to public pressure to cope with Diana's passing in a way they wanted. I never knew what the big deal was about Diana (and the movie didn't let me in on the secret), and there wasn't anything monumental or inspiring about watching an icy ex-mother-in-law's reaction to her death.
Mostly the movie served as a feature-length political ad for Tony Blair... who, if we are to believe the movie, had nothing better to do that week than watch TV for updates on the queen's reaction and spend time with his picture-perfect family.
Totally boring.
